Hello everyone,
I know its been ages since I last blog.  Apologies, what with Christmas and everything not a lot of wedding things were happening but we are now back into full swing.

  • We now have a vicar to do the service (Rev Canon Ray Brazier previosuly of St Matthews Bristol).
  • We have our hymns chosen and reading arranged
  • Flower ladies at church are organising with the other people getting married that day re flowers
  • I have just ordered my tiara
  • The rehersal is booked for the Friday night before the wedding
  • We have the band and a DJ booked to keep us all entertained
  • Bridesmaids dresses and flower girl dress patterns are chosen and the mother is primed to start production
  • Honeymoon flights are booked (slight change of plan to be explained later)
  • My Hen weekend is booked and the events team are "planning"
  • The rings are finalised and we just need to see the man again to make the order

So it has been a busy time all in all.
Ray has agreed to be our vicar and we are really pleased.  As in previous post there are lots of reasons why but it will make the day even more special.  Has made us the talk of our church however, as we the the poeple "importing" and everyone seems to know who we are!

Hymns, reading, flowers and rehersal were finalised yesterday, we had our first session of wedding prep at the church and were able to talk to all the revelant people.  It was really rather nice to sit in church and have the choir sing to us all for 2 hrs.  Came away feeling very relaxed and excited as had made real progress with all the planning.

Saturday was spent with my Ma looking at dress patterns and fabrics for the flowergirls (my three nieces - one's technically not my neice but close enough) and bridesmaids.

We have the patterns chosen and fairly sure on the fabric.  Ma is mocking up one of the litten's dresses as a test to see what it looks like and we are just waiting on final approval from the two adult bridesmaids.  For those who don't know Vicky is currently pregnant and is due 1month before the wedding, so making a dress for her is going to be, shall we say, challenging :)

I have just ordered my tiara, I am getting this early to then match everything else to it.  I have a pearl necklace that I was going to wear but the last time I tried the dress on realised that it just looked wrong.

Entertainment budget is all gone.  Band and a DJ are booked so we will have plently to keep us dancing till dawn!  The DJ does balloon modeling as a side line, so those who attended our 25th Birthday will know what that leads to!

And the Honeymoon.  Well a slight change of heart on that one.  We were going to be going to hawaii but when you look into it, you realise that it is an awfully long way away and takes nearly 24hrs to get there and then you get jet lag.  So after a lot of looking at options we have decided to go for a fly drive in California.  We will fly into Las Vegas, tehn onto the Grand Canyan, up to Yosemite and across to San Francisco (with flowers in our hair) and then home.  A HUGE thank you to Ed Field for the suggestion.  Dave and I were at the point of saying lets have a week in the Lake District and he offered this suggestion.  A true star.

Hen Weekend is booked.  Centre Parcs is the destination of choice mainly for the Spa which if you have not been is AMAZING!!!! and other events to be organised by the events team.  Also a no doubt wonderful meal to be prepared by my aunt and relevant helpers.

And the rings are sorted.
